Brocade and Blue Coat created the industry’s first proactive and tightly integrated health monitoring capabilities specific to Web caching. This solution is designed to help telecommunications carriers better manage the spiraling bandwidth demands due to the proliferation of Web 2.0 rich media content, especially large data files and online video, and control backhaul costs. Using Brocade ServerIron ADX application delivery controllers (ADC) in conjunction with Blue Coat® CacheFlow® 5000 appliances, service providers have the unique ability to reduce bandwidth consumption by up to 50 percent on Web traffic and to create a buffer to defend their network against unpredicted traffic spikes that can occur with certain Web events or with substantial increases in demand for popular content, such as major news occurrences or coverage of sporting or political events. Through a close technology relationship and joint development effort, Brocade and Blue Coat have created a simplified and unified solution that distributes network traffic within a Blue Coat cache farm. This unique capability simultaneously monitors the network load, available capacity and traffic patterns for each Blue Coat appliance to help boost network efficiency and help provide customers with non-stop networking. This is particularly important for Web caching applications that focus on bandwidth savings and enhancing the end-user Web experience.

Apple Ipad Destined To Become The Premiere Health Monitoring Device
It is the most common trend in the health device field to see that devices are becoming more mobile and portable. This in turn has made treatment of patients much more effective and has led to companies even wanting to innovate further in order to take advantage of technological advancements in portable computing. The most promising computing product that is being used for health monitoring is the Applie iPad. Since its introduction into the world of technology the Apple iPad has truly changed the entire landscape. In the past individuals had to rely on small PDA’s or even laptops if they needed to use their computers on the go. However, what the Ipad has done is that it in fact has combined the power of a laptop with the ease of mobility of a PDA. So essentially what happens is that the physician takes the device with them wherever they go either in the hospital setting or the office setting and is able to treat patients. They have access to all the patient’s health data and in addition to that they can even use functionality such as a pulse oximeter to monitor the vital signs of the individual.
If you have ever been in a hospital bed for any reason you would probably remember being hooked up to a machine the size of a computer screen where a wire then connected to your index finger. Well that device is called a pulse oximeter and is extremely important in monitoring your vital signs. It is used to measure the pulse rate as well as the oxygen levels of individuals and if the levels get out of normal range then the health care professional will be alerted to this and then can take necessary action. Well what has happened now is that the functionality of a pulse oximeter has been incorporated into the Apple iPad. So there is no more need that the health care professional solely depend on a large, bulky device in the hospital setting to get their patient’s pulse rate and oxygen levels. Now, they can simply go from one patient room to another and get all the health information they need by simply using their device. The most powerful aspect is that it actually automatically connects to the doctor’s central data computer which will then record and store the individual’s information for future referencing and diagnosing at the touch of a button.

I like the thin size and large digits. No codes to set, just slide the little chip in with a new box of test strips.
It seems to work fine, more advanced than most of the more common meters being used. This one also uses a lot less blood, and is easy to use. I like it quite well so far.
Pay attention to the expiration dates on test strips, though. I bought mine on eBay, and the 500 strips it shipped with all expire in a week. Tech support tells me that the meter won’t accept them once they’re expired, so I’d probably have to set the date back a year just to make do. That’s not a smart move, if you’re Type-1.

this is my second meter. my daughter was recently diagnosed and I ordered this one for her. This meter is very easy to use, the test strips are not expensive, and I like the fact that it talks. I don’t have to stand there and wait for a visual reading. I am Type 1 diabetic and I buy my strips from Ebay sellers also, but the first thing I check, especially if the price is unbelievably low, is the expiration date of strips. If expiration date is not noted, then I don’t buy. Simple. All in all, I would highly reccommend this meter to others.
